Gus Shepherd (Unknown Type) Young Male in Hartford, Connecticut

My story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Gus!What a sweet little guy! Gus was found in a ditch on a busy interstate highway. He was terrified with all the traffic flying past him, but after some coaxing he trusted us enough to allow us to slip a leash over his head and get him to safety. Gus has turned into a wonderful little boy in the short time he's been in rescue. He is in a foster home now and he has really come out of his shell. He is fantastic with the other dogs in the foster home as well as the ones he was with here at the rescue prior to going to his foster home. He is a submissive personality. Gus is about 90% housetrained and has only had a couple of accidents in the last week. He doesn't like being crated but does settle into it after pouting for a few minutes. Gus still seems to be growing so we think he's only about 6 months old. He weighs about 35-40lbs now. We believe he is a Shepherd mix. Gus is neutered, utd, and heartworm negative and started on prevention. He is ready for a family of his own!
