Paige Dachshund Young Female in Hartford, Connecticut

My story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Paige This little cutie was found dumped. We thought for sure she had just wandered away from home and would be microchipped, but no such luck. She was found in an area that is well known to be a dumping ground for unwanted pets. Since no one came forward to claim her we believe she was intentionally dumped and left there to fend for herself. Paige is a total sweet heart. She's very playful with other dogs large and small. Paige is estimated to be about 6 months old and weighs about 15lbs. She has a very loooooong body and very short little legs. We believe she is a dachshund mix. She has done well with cats previously but is currently in a foster home that does not include cats. With proper introductions, we believe she would do fine with cats in her new home. She is good with other dogs and would do best in a home with another dog for companionship.Paige is a little shy and takes a little time to fully come out of her shell so we ask that potential adopters be prepared to give her time and patience while she adjusts to her new surroundings and family. Once she knows she's safe she will blossom just as she has with her foster home. Paige has not been around kids but her foster mom thinks she would be fine as long as the kids are respectful (no pulling ears, tail etc). Paige is spayed, utd, heartworm neg and started on prevention.
