Sue Bob (bonded to Mamie) Shar Pei Adult Female in Hartford, Connecticut

My story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Mamie and Sue BobHere’s what their awesome foster parents have to say about these great girls! Good with dogs, cats, kids. We believe they are mother and daughter.Mamie (gray muzzle)Estimated Age: 7Breed: Sweet Italian SausageOccupation: Cuddle RocketMamie is very affectionate and cuddly. When let out of her crate in the morning, she takes the shortest route up onto the bed. Entering the room is enough to get her tail thumping. If you’re anywhere close to the floor she will wiggle toward you and transform into a beanbag up against your body. She’s not needy, though, and is content to relax and lie down elsewhere while do silly things like work at your job instead of looking into her eyes. When you’re ready for her, she’ll gratefully crawl onto the couch and into your arms. Like many ladies of a certain age, she likes to sit by the front window and grumble at the high school kids walking home from school. (Kids today!) But if you wag your finger at her, she stops right away and looks terribly embarrassed about the whole thing. Sue-Bob (white chest and booties)Estimated Age: 3Breed: Pygmy HippoOccupation: Kibble PrancerSue-Bob is a cute and shy little thing with a big soft face. She sits with her paws pointing out like a seal and she tilts her head at basically anything. We think that Sue-Bob is young enough that she doesn’t have any memories of being really loved by someone. She doesn’t cower or tuck her tail when approached, but she does twitch sometimes when she’s touched without expecting it. The sensation of human touch still seems to surprise her, but she’s slowly starting to seek it out. With Mamie’s help, she is learning to value people. She needs no training to value food, though. You could sell tickets to her kibble dances. -To apply:go to , application is in a word doc under the adoption info tab. -Email your completed application to apps.aasr@gmail.com.
